Gina Downs established “The Pet Nanny” in 2001 and quickly became known throughout Philadelphia’s Art Museum/Fairmount/ Brewerytown area as the most professional, reliable and dedicated provider of pet care services. Since then, the company has grown to accommodate as many as 100 pet visits per day with 10 additional staff members on call, a newly built and licensed dog park/play facility, and a full range of pet care services available seven days a week.
Gina is committed to providing the best possible services to her clients, whether it be single or multiple cat households, proud new puppy parents, highly active dogs, sick and older animals, or recent rescues who may need special attention. From initial consultation to actual daily care, Gina takes a hands-on approach to getting to know both pet and owner and understanding what their individual needs may be.
In addition to her professional life, Gina is a dedicated animal rescuer and supports many animal welfare causes. Over the years she has cared for hundreds of sick and homeless animals, providing for their medical treatment, neutering, vaccinating, fostering and placing them in permanent homes. An estimated 10% of The Pet Nanny profits are dedicated to this cause.
